How did 2025 go, and what achievements did you celebrate at the end of the year?
For Heidelberg Italia, 2025 was an extraordinary year in terms of results. We achieved approximately 180 million in revenue, with over 40 printing presses sold. There was also significant growth in the labeling and digital businesses, as well as in consumables and services. These results were celebrated internationally as well.
Which of your technologies are most appreciated by the market?
Offset technology for printing presses is undoubtedly our flagship, particularly that of the XL model. The technological advancements we presented at the last drupa have established us as the undisputed technology leader in the market.
That said, all our other product lines—which are capable of meeting the full production needs of graphic arts companies—are also highly valued by the market.
Which projects did you launch in 2026, and what new developments can you share?
In 2026, Heidelberg Italia has several objectives. First and foremost, maintaining our technological leadership and, consequently, our market share in offset printing. A key focus for us will be the launch of the new Jetfire digital range, featuring the 50 and 75 models, which offer exceptional productivity and quality and will complement the well-established Versafire and Revoira lines. We also have major expansion plans for the Italian postpress packaging market.
Regulations and rising costs: how is your company responding to these challenges?
Heidelberg has always been a company that pays close attention to regulations; therefore, even in light of the new circumstances, we position ourselves as a benchmark company. The issue of price increases affects the entire market and cannot be fully absorbed by our company. We have a program in place to gradually pass on these increases, which, as mentioned earlier, cannot be fully absorbed, to our customers.
Training and new professionals: How do you support your customers, and what is your approach to recruitment?
For several years now, Heidelberg Italia has been implementing a program to renew and rejuvenate the organization. New hires are trained both in Italy and at the parent company in Wiesloch and are placed under the guidance of mentors for each specialization. Regarding customer support as well, we provide specific training that can be conducted at their production sites or at our facilities. Recruitment generally takes place through specialized agencies or via direct contact with technical schools, whose initiatives we have always strongly supported.
What role do trade fairs play in driving the development of new services and products?
Although the need to attend trade fairs has diminished in recent years, they remain an opportunity to meet and showcase new products, especially in the field of complex technologies.
From this perspective, Heidelberg Italia is certainly interested in participating in future events whenever possible.
