In a market context such as the current one, what were the main challenges you faced in 2024 and what were the most important objectives achieved?
2024 was a complex year, marked by instability in raw material costs and uncertainty in the energy markets, which influenced our customers’ investment choices. In this scenario, we maintained competitiveness and quality, strengthened our presence in strategic markets, launched new partnerships and expanded our range of tailor-made systems.
Which product lines are you working on and which do you intend to promote as a priority in the coming year?
In 2025, we will focus on solutions that respond concretely to new market needs: new generation distillers, automated washing systems and waste water recovery plants. Technologies designed to reduce consumption, costs and environmental impact while increasing efficiency and productivity.
What services or activities do you have planned for 2025 to engage and retain your customers?
With the recent opening of our new offices in Malaysia and China, adding to the historical SET office in Spain, and the forthcoming establishment of a subsidiary in North America, we have the opportunity to be even closer to our customers, offering direct and timely support globally. In terms of services, we plan to further strengthen after-sales by expanding our technical support network and introducing an advanced digital platform for remote monitoring, predictive maintenance and intelligent system management.
ESG criteria are increasingly at the centre of companies’ development strategies, what are the actions you have taken in this regard?
Adopting a sustainability-oriented strategy is not only a response to regulatory and market pressures, but represents a concrete opportunity for IST to stand out in the industry, strengthen its reputation and attract new investments. Over the next three years we will focus on strategic actions, including reducing CO₂ emissions, optimising waste management and the use of resources, strengthening our corporate governance and paying greater attention to the health, safety and well-being of our staff.
THE PRODUCTS

Founded almost 40 years ago to meet the needs of the printing and converting sector, today IST is active in multiple industrial sectors, standing out for its experience, innovation and its customised solutions.
The heart of the company’s offer is represented by solvent distillers, available in an extremely wide range: from small 15 litres per day plants, ideal for laboratories or limited productions, to fully automated solutions capable of treating up to 10,000 litres per day. These plants make it possible to recover the solvent in a safe, economical and sustainable way, drastically reducing disposal and supply costs.
The numerous certifications guarantee maximum safety even in explosion hazard environments.
IST also offers automatic spray washing systems, available to operate with solvents or water-based detergents, ideal for cleaning plates, doctor blades, rotogravure cylinders, mechanical components and production equipment. For more in-depth cleaning needs, ultrasonic systems are available, perfect for the maintenance of ceramic aniloxes and other delicate components: working exclusively with non-flammable detergents, they guarantee maximum safety and effectiveness in full compliance with regulations.
To complete the offer, IST includes vacuum evaporators for the treatment and reuse of washing water, an ideal solution to reduce waste, operating costs and environmental impact.
