In today’s market environment, what were the main challenges you faced in 2024 and what were the most important goals you achieved?

We have been working for over twenty years in the world of printing and post-printing, not only as salesmen but also as a reality offering a complete pre- and post-sales consultancy and assistance service. For this reason we were aware that, with this new project of ours, the biggest challenge we had to face would be to create such a spirit of trust in our customers that they would buy Asian-made machinery, Chinese to be precise: latest-generation products, which are increasingly efficient and reliable.

Thankfully, it was precisely our well-established presence in the market and our policy of constant customer fidelisation that allowed us to easily work around this ‘obstacle’ of initial insecurity, making it possible for us to achieve excellent results in terms of sales in just a few months.

In addition, a great goal achieved by HPM Group Italy this year is to have become the Italian exclusive distributor of Dayuan, a leading brand in China, which has always been dedicated to technological innovation, in order to produce intelligent and efficient post-printing equipment such as hot stamping and die-cutting machines, as well as sheet cutting machines. And, another important milestone achieved, is to be able to represent in Italy the HPM brand, another historical company in China for what concerns, above all, the production of high-efficiency and precision paper cutting machines.

Which product lines are you working on and which do you intend to promote as a priority in the coming year?

The product lines we intend to focus on in the near future are definitely state-of-the-art machinery that is basic for the whole packaging sector such as folding and gluing machines, die-cutters, paper cutters and laminators. We are also enhancing our expertise and availability of machinery for everything related to food packaging such as tray formers, label printing machines and finishing machines and, very importantly, we are aiming at self-mounting box formers, thus free of any kind of glue, which will allow us to be in line with the increasingly strict restrictions on glues for food use.

What services or activities do you have planned for 2025 to engage and retain your customers?

In this regard, the first item on the agenda for 2025 will be our participation in the Print4All trade fair in Milan in May (in fact… come and visit us at Hall 11P – Stand A21- B22!!!): for us, this will be an excellent showcase and a launchpad for the machinery of our newly acquired lines.

We will aim to further improve our support to customers in the machinery purchase phase, proposing operational leasing and subsidised finance solutions thanks to our team of consultants following the various national calls for tenders.

In addition, we will certainly continue to work both by constantly updating our team of technicians and experts on what is new on the market, and by implementing our website, for a faster and more precise response to what our potential customers are asking for, and all the related social channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram…), which have become essential communication tools.

Criticality=opportunity: what are the critical issues you have encountered (or that your customers have shared with you) on which you have built valuable solutions for the industry?

The critical points we found were especially the lack of after-sales support, not only during the warranty period but even more so outside that; this is why HPM Group Italy, with its team of 12 specialised technicians ready to intervene quickly in the event of downtime all over Italy ( we have two strategic operating bases, one in Lecce and one in Turin), is making assistance one of its strong points, even outside the warranty period, certain that this is a service that our customers appreciate and that will help us greatly in the process of customer fidelisation.
