As of January 2012 Primetec Srl has taken on the distribution in Italy of the new SpringG 3 printer, an emulation screenprint digital reel-fed printer designed by Matan Digital Printers Ltd. It prints short runs at high speed, in 4 or 6 colors, in bright and sturdy hues on labels, tags, adhesives, signs, transfers and plaques.

For over ten years the Israeli producer Matan has been offering digital color printing solutions based on screenprint emulation UV inkjet and thermal transfer technologies, that ensure excellent print quality, high productivity and chemical and mechanical resistance in various sectors of application.
Matan SprinG 3, in particular, is a low temperature (42 °C) thermal transfer system that prints perfectly on a wide variety of plastic films, including thick gauge ones such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, polyester, white or transparent PVC, vynil, as well as refractive-, transparent-, metalized and translucid films.

Designed to work in offices with "ecological" ink (dry and odour free), starting from the basic four color configuration, it can print both in four color process as well as in opaque white, metalized gold and silver, not to mention the over 50 spot and Pantone colors available. With the RIP software, the system can print in reverse on 30-33 cm substrates at speeds of 5 m/min.
SprinG 3 also prints in six colors, including variable and progressive data thanks to an intuitive, easy-to-use software. Printed matter resists 5 years against weathering in the standard version, but ribbons are available with a certified resistance of up to 12 years (they also stand up well to abrasion). A reminder that Primetec Srl will be present at Drupa at the Matan stand.

A successful application – Siebdruck-Wulfert GmbH (D), who works both with screenprinting machines lines as well as with UV-inkjet lines, has expanded its machine yard by adopting a SprinG 3. The German printworks, that makes hazard warning and product identification labels as well as printing large formats, has adopted the new printer to improve their digital workflow. Decisive in this choice were the high print quality and its durability in time, and the competitive cost of the ribbons.
SprinG 3 is coupled to a Mimak iCG75FX for cutting printed rolls. Compared to the digital inkjet technology, this solution can print on transparent substrates, thanks to the ability of Spring 3 to produce a thick layer of ink. Extremely versatile, it ensures reduced operating costs and constitutes an easy-to-manage "plug & play" system.

Best Primera distributor Primera Technology Europe has awarded Primetec Srl the title of best European distributor: the company has in fact installed the largest number of CX1200e-FX1200e systems, namely digital color reel-fed label printers for micro, small and medium runs, capable of meeting the needs of "Print On Demand".
• The LX SeriesColor inkjet printers, offered by Primera as the smallest and most economical versions, feature as easy-to-use benchtop solutions: indeed they allow smaller manufacturers to independently manage and produce the labels for their own products with print resolutions up to 4,800 dpi. By printing only the quantity of labels required, the Primera LX printer greatly reduces waste and storage costs, ensuring maximum flexibility (photo: LX900e).
• For color laser printing, Primera proposes the CX1000e for producing untrimmed precut labels on reel: Thus accurately printed labels with a  clear edge are obtained. In particular, the complete CX1200e full color laser printing and FX1200 digital finishing system has won a name for itself on the small-to-medium run reel-mounted label digital die cutting market. The FX1200e can achieve any shape and size of label via four cutting blades (QuadraCutTM patent), as well as plastify, remove the waste matrix and separate the tracks, thus obtaining a finished, printed and die-cut reel.
