International Gravure Days 2026: the future of gravure printing takes centre stage in Munich
From 7 to 9 October, Munich will host the International Gravure Days 2026, the event organised by the Global Rotogravure Association, which will also celebrate its 70th anniversary. The event will bring together the international gravure community to discuss innovation, collaboration and technological development, with the main conference scheduled for 8 October, followed by a gala dinner and a visit to the historic Spaten brewery on 9 October.
The programme of the International Gravure Days 2026 will address some of the most topical issues for the industry. Miriam Bär of Adphos will discuss the evolution of printing processes for decoration and packaging, while Tobias Enk of Lebbing Automation & Drives will focus on the digitalisation of analogue gravure. Davide Garavaglia of BOBST will explore digital gravure and the future development of this technology.
The speaker line-up also includes Kaushik Nag of Jupiter Group, with a focus on packaging growth in India, Dr Abhay Sharma of Toronto Metropolitan University, who will discuss Expanded Colour Gamut, Christophe Simoneau of Simpak Label, with a reflection on the future potential of gravure, and Stefan Ziemann of JTI, who will examine the transition from regulatory requirements to packaging reality. A surprise presentation dedicated to trust and change is also on the agenda. The International Gravure Days 2026 therefore aim to provide a key platform for discussion on the future of gravure printing.
