At the upcoming edition of the largest international graphic arts fair, Omet will be presenting the new Varyflex V2 Offset 850 with Electron Beam drying system to operators from all around the world. It is a machine designed and developed to serve the packaging industry, with the aim of optimizing the use of  Omet's patented sleeve offset printing units , combined with flexo units, in order to guarantee maximum performance on different substrates, even with combined printing.

The reason why of the electron beam. With this machine, the high quality and print speed are achieved thanks to the BroadBeam drying system developed by PCT Engineered Systems, a US leader in EB technologies. The drying system of the new Varyflex V2 Offset 850 uses an electron beam to fix the color on the support uniformly over the entire surface, without causing overheating and with a reduced energy consumption compared to UV . Moreover, this solution is also suitable for printing on media intended for food packaging.

More tools for packaging. With the new Varyflex V2 Offset, Omet significantly strengthens its range of machines dedicated to the packaging industry. After having established itself globally as a benchmark manufacturer of automatic machines (it has been on the market since 1963) and, in the last decade, as a leader in narrow web label, today the Lecco based company takes a  further and decisive step forward as a supplier of competitive flexible packaging solutions. The new machine meets the demands for quality, flexibility and cost saving specific to the sector, primarily due to the reduced cost of printing plates and the high work change speeds.

Modularity and efficiency. The Varyflex V2 Offset, that will be presented at Drupa 2016, is a modular machine which combines flexographic and offset printing and offers the possibility of further customization. In developing this important project, Omet combined  the experience and skills of its own design team with that of its technological partner PCT Engineered Systems, leading to the creation of an extremely versatile, efficient, state-of-the-art  tool.
