The beginning of 2020 marked the 500th installation of a 100% BST quality control system on the sector leading Italian manufacturer’s label and flexible packaging inspection machines.
The first installation of a BST Shark 4000 Lex system for 100% quality control of labels on a Prati control table for high-end wines and spirits dates back to 2006 . This was followed by a string of successful installations on the whole range of Prati partner’s inspection machines, ranging from the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors to those of industry and hygiene, in a parallel crescendo of machine performances (Saturn, Jupiter, Vega Plus, Digifast) and functions for label printing control.
The Tubescan leap Going by way of dozens of day-to-day events – fairs and demonstrations for customers as ever in need of quality and traceability – we reach 2013: BST launches Tubescan, the new digital stroboscope, in technological partnership with the German company Nyquist.
Created with the aim of detecting the absence of labels, Tubescan Digital was to grow immensely, in a few years gaining the undisputed leadership in the 100% real-time printing inspection of labels with the most varied control functions (PDF, distances, variable data, clear on clear, UV, cut, delta E, barcodes, workflow, etc.).
Special functions Installations in the European and worldwide market are growing visibly and the technological link between the two companies has been improved and enhanced through the integration of special functions. Two stand out: the automatic positioning of the cutting blades in reference to the image acquired by the camera, and the real-time control of the digital printing variable data.
