The Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese provided the backdrop for the 34th edition of the Oro della Stampa Awards, Italy’s leading recognition for excellence in the printing and converting industry. The event once again highlighted the strategic role of a sector distinguished by quality, innovation and entrepreneurial vision, and a key contributor to the competitiveness of Italian manufacturing.

The 2025 edition marked a notable expansion of scope, with a stronger focus on the converting sector and its many specializations. Participation increased significantly, particularly among Italian companies active in label and packaging production, while suppliers from the packaging industry showed growing interest in supporting the Award.

“This year the Award truly reflected the evolution of the industry,” said Enrico Barboglio, CEO of Stratego Group, which organises the event alongside Unione GCT Milano. “We saw greater involvement from converting companies and stronger engagement from packaging vendors, confirming the relevance and attractiveness of the Oro della Stampa Award within the sector.”

A total of 15 awards were presented during the evening. Entrepreneurs, executives and company representatives took to the stage to receive the prestigious trophy, symbolising the talent, commitment and innovative spirit of Italy’s printing and converting industry.

The ceremony, hosted by Irene Elisei, journalist at Sky TG24, guided an audience of over 400 guests through stories of innovation, creativity and business success.

All nominations were assessed by an independent jury of industry experts, drawn from the worlds of media, education, sector institutions and communication buyers. The jury evaluated companies of all sizes across the Italian printing and converting landscape, considering criteria such as ethical standards, technological and structural investment, international reach, market visibility and sustainability – encompassing environmental, economic and governance aspects.

The Oro della Stampa 2025 Award thus reaffirmed its mission: to champion strategic vision and celebrate the excellence of an industry that continues to leave its mark on Italian entrepreneurship.

“The steadily growing participation is a clear sign of the Award’s credibility,” commented Lara Botta, President of Unione Industriali Grafici Milano (Association of Graphic and Printing Industries of Milan). “It shows that companies recognise the value of investing in quality, efficiency, people and skills. Taking part in the Oro della Stampa means believing in innovation as a driver of growth.”
