“Feed your creativity” is the slogan of Viscom Italia 2014, the 26th edition: a cocktail of knowledge, business, culture and training in the field of visual communication.

More than 270 international brands are presiding (a +10% increase in foreign exhibitors), and more than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend Viscom Italia (Reed Exhibitions), which is being held at FieraMilano on October 16th-18th,  all seeking solutions to customize products and engage customers with impactful communication.
The event thus aims to serve as a source of information on the trends driving the visual communication market.
And while exhibitors will present the latest technologies in order to demonstrate how to create innovative and quality applications, the events will explain how to make effective use of them. In order to promote novelties, re-launch communication messages and offer topics for reflection, the event’s organizers have confirmed the involvement of the most important industry associations (AIAP for graphic designers, Aifil for signs and sign-making, ALA-Assoarchitetti for professional architects and engineers, Assoprom for the sector of promotional and advertising materials).

Training. The events at Viscom Italia will offer a specialized training environment, opportunities for networking and the possibility of actively participating in demos of new technologies.
In order to look closer at all the hottest topics, an informational platform – Viscom Talks – has been planned with the scientific coordination of the Politecnico di Milano’s MIP school of management: encounters with the professionals that have challenged conventional wisdom and created new growth paradigms; discussions with important brands and success stories that will present the necessary ingredients for confronting the new challenges of the market and valorizing competencies, acquiring models and strategies for developing a complete managerial vision.

The encounters will cover diverse topics: from paper design to new printing technologies for the POP, from photographic research to the role of digital visual communication in communicating the new face of architecture and cityscapes. There will be no lack of management presentations to supply ideas and guidelines to small and medium enterprises, so that they can enhance sales and customer relations, complemented by more technical talks concerning laser technology applied to lighting, the green economy and the energy certification of signs.

Live skills. Excellence in creativity is the central thread that will run through the new format of Viscom Live, which, following an array of different design paths, will live broadcast technical capabilities and innovative decoration solutions (a team of decorators will demonstrate the ductility of the film wrapping offered by technical sponsor Avery Dennison, applied to a car, a boat…). And what’s more, visual communication technologies will be shown on a wall of cans (the visual identity of the show’s promotional campaign), decorated, personalized, printed, engraved and created by exhibitors. Again on the topic of creativity, design and new technologies, the international DIVA (Display Italia Viscom Award) returns for its 4th edition, organized in collaboration with Display Italia and showcasing the best display solutions for the POP.
