CAMIS S.r.l. introduces SleeveMaster Auto (SMA), the answer to market demand for a “hands free” automatic plate mounting machine for mid-range and wide-web flexo.

“Built around the CAMIS flexo industry 4.0 platform, the SMA is the result of careful analysis and our continuous research to achieve maximum process and machine reliability, as witnessed by all our customers in the hundreds of CAMIS Irisleeve installations worldwide,” explains Davide Pesenti, General Manager of CAMIS.

The CAMIS SMA is designed to be as simple and easy to use as the Camis Irisleeve HD, but offers the technological innovations required by some industries. A brand new touch screen HMI with CAMIS Flexo 4.0 features allows new and existing jobs to be loaded or pre-selected.  Operators can scan the EAN-coded job card and the machine will gather job information from the customers’ CRM and quickly load all data into the machine’s program and/or recall previous jobs.

The SMA has a number of unique features that also allow both new and used plates to be automatically registered and mounted, while the new “Double Decker” HD camera system combined with the machine’s software and hardware features allow the SMA system to continuously monitor and eliminate any lateral plate deviation during application, even in longer print runs.

Davide Pesenti comments: “CAMIS is never satisfied with what it has achieved, which is why we have been committed to researching further improvements to our mounting systems, to ensure that our customers get the maximum output in the printing phase, without problems of reliability and calibration. We have machines in the field and these initial beta tests show us that we have maintained CAMIS reliability.”

The CAMIS SMA is available in sizes from 900mm to 2000mm wide and with print repeats from 300mm to 1300mm
